I do not consider myself a poet, but I have written a few poems. Some of the poems below were published in my memoir "On the Edge of Insanity" and on Vocal. They are a bit dark, as they were written during the darkest times of my life. I hope when you read them, you are able to see the struggle I was going through mentally and physically because of my illnesses.

The full moon can cause sleep disruptions and wildly vivid dreams. Check out this poem based on a crazy dream or rather nightmare.

Angel from unearthly realm
Why have you left my aging helm?
Leaving me in time of need
Without divine and knowing lead
No longer do you guide my path
I’m off the course, exposed to wrath
No longer do you light my way
Now in the dark, I’m left astray
Offended thee? I implore
Won’t you visit just once more?

Upon my door death did ring
In the early hours one day in spring
An unforeseen and unwanted guest
He awakened me from my deepest rest
Icy breath did chill the room
And brought with it impending doom
The spark of life would soon go out
For which poor soul I was in doubt
A shadow fell upon the scene
A distorted and unholy dream
But there amidst the darkness lay
Her tiny body in disarray
Convoluted from great pain
Sight that drove my heart insane
Little breaths she did gasp
And I feared she would pass
Death you will not have your prize
Find another soul to rise
But he did look and at me leer
For of me death had no fear
No sooner had I turned my back
Then in she took one last gasp
But in my arms I did her hold
For I could not bear to let her go
But when the pain was much to bear
I heard a voice upon the air
A calming and most joyous sound
An alert that she was still around
Only then could I release my grasp
Allow her soul at last to pass
But as the months did drag on by
My heart did sink, my soul did die
And then upon one common day
Was brought from not so far away
A single angel left alone
In search of love, in search of home
Upon her tiny face I did see
A light from angel stole from me
For those we love are never lost
Though the great divide they have crossed
For return to us in another form
To comfort those who did them mourn
For they as we cannot part
From those who always have our heart.

Somewhere in a distant year
I work away without a fear
Joyful as the day goes by
I lie beneath the clear blue sky
Yet in the sky appears a light
Whose burning flame is twice as bright
As flaming sun in still of day
Or shinning stars perched far away
When all the world lies fast asleep
And I alone sit up and weep
For light which sits so far away
Will bring the world untimely day
When poisons fall from up above
To end the world that we all love.

Fly away young soul from this wicked place, where man wear masks and hide their dark, true face. You are innocent and your soul is pure, you must steer clear of troops of Lucifer.
Fly away young soul from this new demented time, where man believes untruths and speaks dangerous lies. Hold to the light of the truth and cling to your faith, and you will be freed from the madness of this place.
Fly away young soul to a faraway Earth, where reformed souls have shown their devoted worth. Do not punish yourself for sins of the past, find strength and comfort in light and love that last.
Fly away young soul to a distant year, where you can live with hope and without fear. Where dreams of old are new and bright again, and time and space purposely have no end.
Climb high in the clouds, spread your wings and you will fly, for you were a fairy in another sky. Soar high above your toil and strife, and awaken with wings in the afterlife.
